Reliability of two common classifications for Legg-Calvé-Perthes disease if using MRI: Pediatric orthopedists vs. radiologists

In patients with Legg-Calvé-Perthes (LCP), the Catterall and Herring classifications based on standard hip radiographs are frequently used. this study, compatibility of classification systems in MR images LCP was examined among specialist working departments Orthopedics Radiology, reliability investigated. which included 37 Perthes patients, two separate presentations were prepared radiological imaging determined by drawing lots. Six experienced specialists selected as observers, three whom radiologist pediatric orthopedists. Each sent to observers one month apart. They asked categorize visual data. Data evaluated percent agreement (PA) Gwet's AC1 method. classification, orthopedists decreased MRI examination, while an increase observed radiologists. remained at a similar level, radiologists' inter-observer increased.
